Leave a Comment Question: I'm trying to install the Cisco VPN client version 5.0.02.0090.but I have run into a problem that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Whenever I try to install it I get this message: "Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run." (You can see this error in the image attached.) I have tried to install a different version of the VPN client but get the same error. I can also other software. I have tried all the methods detailed on this page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555175/en-us Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem? Thank you. Solution: I don't think this problem is going to be solved sadly. I'm not going to uninstall SP3 to get this working, I'll just keep using it on a virtual box. It may only be a band aid fix but it works. Like this:Like Loading... Related Tags: cisco, error, vpn, windows, xp Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here...
