I've been a daily user of Vuze for many years and have recently encountered a problem that I've vuze disk read error never seen before: whenever I start downloading a torrent file, the download works normally for a few minutes, then without warning the little green smiley face icon on the left turns red disk write error vuze mac and the download stops with the following error message: "Error: Disk write error-flush fails, open fails, file not found:" This has started happening only recently and I've tried restarting Vuze, running anti-virus scans, rebooting my PC (running Windows 7 with all current updates), etc., but nothing seems to correct this problem. computer runs 24 X 7, with Vuze usually downloading something in the background. So I vuze disk read error out of memory had to do a little digging, and the culprit turned out to be other processes. This is really weird. Vuze worked perfectly just vuze disk read error read failed input output some time ago, but now it keeps giving me problems. That's crazy! Now there are two things to notice here:1.The problem would not happen when you would immediately restart the torrent.2.The problem would occur to random files (But mostly to those files that are being downloaded/written to).Some process was obviously locking the file and preventing it from being written to by Vuze. Anyway, when I checked for the DllHost process in process explorer, it wasn't missing. But I noticed that the explorer was open with that folder. So I refreshed the view on this and then checked the process explorer again. Voila! There it was, for a fleeting moment, dllhost.exe appears, and then disappears. So that's the problem! The Thumbnails cache locks the file which is being accessed by Vuze. Now, how do we confirm it? Well, freeze the process before we can collect data about it. With the torrents I downloaded running, my computer would have something to do for the 10 days I'd be gone. But no sooner had I walked out the door and vuze disk gotten a chance to check on my computer then I started noticing some strange errors in Azureus. I was suspicious at first that it may have to do with the fact that I was downloading a whole bunch of torrents and may have run out of hard drive space on my "torrent" drive (an old 80gb drive used just for torrents). I checked the drive space and it was vuze disk read getting low, so I stopped a few of the torrents, deleted the files they had downloaded, and figured that would solve the problem, freeing up some space. No such luck. The next time I logged into my computer I found the same errors. There are, in fact, two separate errors that pop up and I wasn't really sure what was going on. The first error says: File close fails: D:\torrents\**************** (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process), open fails, flush fails The second error says: Disk read error - D:\torrents\******************* (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process), open fails If you look closely at the error messages, the error is on a specific part of the torrent that is being downloaded (in this case they are .avi files). I wasn't sure what the problem was, but continued to think that it may just be these particular torrents since I had never had this problem before or it may be tied to my earlier problem with the hard drive being too full.
