Now I have looked for an answer to this problem for the past 3 days. My WSUS 3.0 sp1 installation is hosed after https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/91880-wsus-error-12052 a reboot. It seems this is a common problem that no one can answer. If you try to manage the WSUS installation it won't let you connect. There are errors in the Application https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/25717907/How-to-Resolve-WSUS-Failures-Related-to-services-not-working.html log that: DSS Authentication Web Service is not running (Event ID 12052) The SimpleAuth Web Service is not working. (Event ID12042) The Client Web Service is not working. (Event ID12022) The Server web service Synchronization Web Service is not working.(Event ID12032) The API Remoting Web Service is not working. (Event ID12012) The Reporting Web Service is not working.(Event ID12002) I have checked and checked permissions and the Database. I think clients are getting updates but you can't manage the WSUS server to manage groups and authorize updates etc. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. It looks like it rebuilds the WSUS web service components, etc. 0 Jalapeno OP IXLR8 Mar 12, 2010 at 10:05 UTC I can connect to the default website on port 80 so IIS is running and answering calls but you can't manage the server through the console. I ran the script you mentioned and got this: SetupSelfupdateTree: Finding the index of the Web site on which WUS is installed ... SetupSelfupdateTree: Leaving GetWUSWebSiteIndex.
