A user cannot get a DHCP address from the server in the main office, but works fine everywhere else (home, remote office).I assuming that there's some reservation or conflict on the DHCP server I have here, but I can't find http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?t=139426 it. There is no reservation under his MAC address on the server. However, if I try to set a reservation, I get told "The specified address is not available" no matter what IP I punch in.The error the client is getting is;Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: DhcpEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 1002Date: 3/3/2008Time: 9:26:24 AMUser: N/AComputer: NOTHISREALCOMPUTERNAMEDescription:The IP address lease 0.0.0.0 for the Network Card with network address MACADDRESS has been denied by the DHCP server ser.ver.ipadd.ress (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).I am totally stumped on this. he is also the only user getting this error. Find the entry in your leases table that corresponds to the MAC of the client with the issue. Delete the lease entry, then do an ipconfig/release and then ipconfig/renew on the client. (the lease will have a BAD_ADDRESS indicator)Really, though, something is broken, as your client should request a new IP via DHCPDISCOVER once it receives the DHCPNACK. Every time there is a failure I can see IpLeaseDenied in the a dhcpnack message machine's Windows event log.The error message is: The IP address lease 192.168.1.100 for the Network Card with network address 0x[MAC address] has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.2 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message). The DHCP server on Diskstation (192.168.1.2) is returning DHCPNACK to the client machine. I have a DHCP reservation for the MAC. The machine picks up the address when I test by rebooting it.Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?o. Using bonded network adapterso.
