Fh Code On Whirlpool Duet Washer
View Forum Posts Premium Member Join Date Apr 2011 Location New Mexico Posts 10 Whirlpool Duet - F/09 code Model Number: GHW9150PW2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 6-10 years Jake, I am having issues with my Whirlpool Duet Washer. (Previously you helped me fix our dryer - thank you again for that!) The washer started by giving us a F09 code, though my daughters saw they also saw F/11 whirlpool duet e1 f8 but I haven't been able to duplicate that yet. I started a Rinse/Spin cycle, and it appeared to pump water out and was spinning some. I used the Cancel button to stop the cycle, and it stopped. A couple of moments later, it started up again, so I've just kept it unplugged. Using the repair manual I found on the forum, I began working through the list of things to check as a result of F09 codes. - The drain hose is not kinked or clogged. - The wire harness to the CCU and Pressure Switch seems to be good. - Got down to the drain pump and cleaned it out. (Hmmm, broken pencil and other small items made it down there!) How do I check to see if that's working? - How do I check to see if the pressure switch is working? Given the funky behavior of the control panel and the machine's desire to start on it's own, might this be a CCU issue? What else should I do? Thanks! partway through the wash, it stopped and displayed a set of error codes: F09 E01. It has also been leaking a bit during each load. Luckily I have a big pan under it so it's all contained though. A google search what does f02 mean on my whirlpool washer seemed to indicate that it was a problem with drainage taking too long. The solution was whirlpool f11 to clean out the entrance to the drain pump. NOTE: This post describes the steps I took to resolve the issue. I encourage you to whirlpool duet washer fault code f02 read through it, but make sure you read my last paragraph before actually taking anything apart because that might save you a lot of work! To find the drain pump, I took the back off the washer. In the following http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/33876-Whirlpool-Duet-F-09-code picture we see the flexible hose coming out of the bottom of the washer drum into the drain pump. When I unhooked the small end of that hose I found a paperclip in it. Then I decided to unhook the large end too, so I could take it out and clean it up better in the sink. After cleaning that up, I felt into the pump and found a lot of junk in it. There was even a dime in it, bit http://reedercommons.blogspot.com/2015/03/whirlpool-duet-steam-error-f09-e01.html my 7 year old snatched it before I got the picture. After getting all I thought I could get out, there was still some small rocks and stringish stuff inside that I couldn't really get out. I decided to take the pump out and see if I could clean it better that way. I unhooked the other hose and pulled on the pump until it came out. It was held in by some rubber grommets. I then had to unhook the wire. After getting it out, I noticed on the other side of the pump was a removable cap. Once removed, it was easy to remove the rest of the junk. I should have done that first! After cleaning that up, I put it all back together, and it seems to be draining much better now. So far, the leaking also seems to be fixed. If you notice that second to last picture, though, you'll notice that there's a really nice big cap that would have been real easy to unscrew and clean out the junk if only I had opened the washer from the front! Looking a little closer, I believe the front might actually come off. I'm not going to take it off now that I've got it all fixed, but if I were you I would try removing the front instead of the back for this project. I've looked on the web for this error and done everything it says to do but still the error comes up. When I press start, water starts coming in but after 10 seconds it shuts off and the lights start flashing and the display says F09 (which incidently is NOT listed under errors in the handbook). Initial problem happened when my husband accidently put soap flakes in the dispenser drawer and water starting gushing out of the drawer as it had clogged and the water couldn't flow in to the drum. I removed all the soap build up (must have accumulated over a bit of time from other soaps as well), poured some hot water in to remove any unreachable soap and started the mac
