The F20 code is an indication of your washer not detecting water entering it. It may occur with water making f20 whirlpool duet it into the machine and without water coming in. Before attempting to diagnose or repair any appliance, be sure that the unit is unplugged from the wall outlet. If there is no water coming in, the first place to start is with the water supply hoses. Shut the water valve off and remove the hose. Be ready because there will be a small amount of water in the hose and it will come out when they are removed. Remove the hose and inspect the filter screen for debris. There are screens on the valve inlets at the back of the machine and these may sometimes become clogged with debris from the pipes. If there is water entering the machine, the F20 is usually due to the system that senses the water level in the machine. The pressure switch or hose are usually the cause of the machine "thinking" that it is not filling with water. If the hose is cracked or otherwise leaks air pressure, the switch will not send the signal to the computer that the water level has came up. The switch can also fail to send the signal to the computer and this will also create the same failure code. I have included a diagram that has the pressure switch an
