problems connecting your Nintendo Wii to your wireless router? Tired of getting wii error code 50299 that annoying 52130 error code telling you that there is a firewall issue, well no more. I cannot wii error code 52230 say 100% that my solution will fix your problem, but it did for me.Error 52130I just got a new router to have a better connection, but instead I got no http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/results.jsp?error_code=52130&system=Wii connection. I hooked up my network and it was running fine. When I went to connect the Wii to my new connection I found that it had a firewall issue. I spent hours and hours over two days trying to solve the problem. I even went and google searched an answer and found none helpful. I accidently one evening erased http://wiiconnectionproblems.blogspot.com/2008/01/wii-error-code-52130.html by DNS server under my TCP/IP network connections. The next day after fixing the server problem I realized when looking at the Wii connection settings that I had selected or by default had the DNS set on auto obtain. My ISP, internet service provider, does not use auto obtain. The solution is to manually input your preffered and alternate DNS server address. I again cannot guarantee this will fix your problem, but it did for me. Posted by Luck'snoaccident at 8:40 PM 5 comments: Anonymous said... gw. this fixed my issue. I am technically literate and can follow directions, but don't know the difference between IP addresses, DNS servers, etc. Do I want to use the DNS server information provided when I run the CMD in Windows? Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. I had the Wii connected yesterday and now it won't connect, siting error 52130. I'm not sure how it can suddenly have an issue when it worked

Either turn it off and try to connect or manually configure your settings. ie: IP address edit: That is a different error than in your first post but codes can have more than 1 meaning. 52130 Error can be firewall blocking or security. You stated WEP64 This would make sense as to why you can't connect. That is the security settings in your router. WEP64 must have a code of exactly 10 numbers and letters A_F and it has to be in the #1slot (usually there are 4 slots). That must be entered in the wii settings exactly the same or disable it in your router. (at least until you figure out whats blocking your connection). In the wii settings if the security window is greyed out (you cant enter anything into it) then security in your router is off. If it is not grey (meaning you can type in this area) your router has security turned on. Linksys Routers have SPI Firewall on by default. You must manually turn it off in the router, save your settings then try to connect. If you now get 52731 error: In the Wii settings you clear all the old connection setups. Start from scratch and make a new connection. This is a good start as there are other things to try. Any changes you make must be saved in order to work. Also dial-up and Sattelite are not compatible with the Wii. Any

I've got Homebrew Channel, USB Loader GX, Bootmii and Priiloader installed. When I try to do a new connection in my Wii settings, it see's all the wireless networks in range but fail when doing a connection test. Here's my troubleshooting process: I removed the wireless security on the router. Error 52130. I changed the wireless channel on the router. Error 52130. I power cycled the router and the modem countless of times. Error 52130. I reset the router on factory settings. Error 52130. I tried to imput manually the connection settings in the Wii (IP adress, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4). Error 52130. I bought another router with everything said above. Error 52130. I tried to connect with 3G tethering of my cell phone. Error 52130. I tried to connect on my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (with the computer connected wired and after wirelessly to Internet). Error 52140. I tried to connect wired with an USB adaptor (wired to my router/modem and only to my modem). Error 51420 if I remember correctly. I called Nintendo, talked with a customer service agent and did everything again. Didn't worked. I talked with 2 different Wi-Fi expert agent at Nintendo that know each other and tried to help me together. Didn't worked. I let one of them take control of my girlfriend's computer to see if there was anything wrong in the router settings. Didn't worked. I asked if they banned my Wii to connect on the internet because my Wii had "some software and/or hardware modification". They said no. (Nintendo said if the above was the case, my error code would've started with number 2 and they would've told me right away) I called my ISP to ask if there were any incompatibilities. Didn't worked. (I work for my ISP anyway so I would know) I took the Wii to a friend's house to see if it would connect wirelessly (his Wii got no problem and he's with another ISP). Error 52130. I
