I have configured the printer correctly (as far as I can see) - I assigned it an IP Address, Mask and Gateway, I can ping it without problem, I can even "talk" to it using the MarkNet Printer Configuration Software. However when I attempt to print to the server after win32 error code setting up the printer in any of our machines, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP - the print times out and reports a generic printer error - nothing of value is reported in the machines logs. I contacted Lexmark Support and here is what they said to do: 1.Turn the printer OFF 2.Press and Hold RIGHT + SELECT + GO Menu buttons simultaneously. 3.Turn the printer ON. Relase the buttons once it shows resttings factory defaults. Now try priting. --- Then after I told them that I did that already; they said to try this: Go to printers folder. Select the lexmark driver, right click on it and then click on Properties.Select Ports tab. Click on Add Port, select Lexmark Enhanced TCP/IP port, click on New port.Click on Port Name ,IP address of the printer.Click on Ok. Now try to print. If it does not help then please try to install a system driver and then try to print. --- I have tried using the Standard TCP/IP Port as well as the Lexmark Network Port and neither seems to make a difference. I should add that printing via USB is not an issue,

Hey Guys, Having some big problems with the printer used for our Admin staff. The printer is on a Print Server and the client machines are sending prints to it just fine but then the printer does nothing and when investigating on the server it says the printer has encountered an error on that job, though it does it on every job....? Sometimes it works fine, other times it doesn't. I don't know where to go from here, I've tried re-building the machines, adding new print drivers and then re-deploying. But still nothing will work? Any ideas that could help would be most appreciated!? I have a member of staff here really flapping about the whole situation, even though she can print to every other printer in the school....?
