Internal Port Audio Error Windows 10
You will not be able to play or record audio.Error: Internal PortAudio error". I read several postsin this forum and on www.tenforums.comthinking "what changed" did a patch come out? In the process ofreading and trying to figure out what

happened. I did the following. I am running Windows10 Pro 64 bit. I have been on Windows 10 now since the free upgrade in Augustwith no issues related to Audacity. I was on Audacity2.1.0 and I upgraded to 2.1.1 I updated my RealtekHigh Definition Audio drivers to Version 6.0.1.7655 11/3/2015. I saw one post aboutRealTek HD Manager not have the Default Format set. I checked that and it wasokay. I have soundproduced through iTunes, Internet music streaming so audacity windows 10 fix everything checks on that. Because I play musicI use Cakewalk Sonar and use M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB audio interface. Idecided to power that down and to my surprise Audacity came up without the errormessage and it showed the Audio Device info. I have notPersonally installed any new programs or updates on this computer except forwhat I mentioned above. I did notice that there have been some Windows patchesinstalled recently but nothing Windows 10 related. Just Printer, MS Office andWindows Malicious Software Removal Tool. Have there been any patches lately that could have caused this? Any thoughts? Thanks I posted this message on Audacity's forum site as well. ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Audacity Startup problem Hi. I am a user of Audacity, version 1.2.3, but I am experiencing some problems on startup. Whenever I try to run audacity as a normal user, I get a box come onto the screen which http://audacity.238276.n2.nabble.com/Audacity-Startup-problem-td262825.html informs me: There was an error initializing the audio IO layer. You will not be able http://askubuntu.com/questions/532826/how-do-i-get-the-tascam-us122l-usb-audio-interface-to-work to play or record audio. Beneath this is another message: Error: Host Error The only way I have found to use audacity which only works till I reboot, I have not found a way of making it permanent yet, is to go to an XTerm in Linux, and switch to root user, then give everyone on the machine permission to access the 2 sound devices, windows 10 adsp and dsp, then change the ownership and group status to my username on both things, so chgrp dellmatrix *dsp and chown dellmatrix *dsp. If anyone could suggest anything else which could be going wrong, help would be welcomed. I am using ALSA 1.0.8 for my sound system, and running Mandriva LE2005. I have only been on Linux about 3 months, and this one has stumped me. Charles E.
