This log can be usefull if you require support and may be requested. All Rippers do perform DAE using ASPI, but only if the ASPI layer is working correctly, if it is not ASPI Rip  will not work because ASPI Rip  ONLY uses DAE method. This simply because all Windows computers can run ASPI layer and it assures the best Audio extraction results over all other methods used so inferior methods are not used. Other CD ripping programs often incorporate other methods for Ripping the CD to operate if the DAE method via ASPI does not work on your computer.

Audio Grabber Youtube
ASPI error while ripping Hi there I repeatedly encounter a problem when ripping CD's to audiograbber review my hard drive. The ripping process starts ok and fast, but for the higher track numbers the ripping fails. I have tried both iTunes audiograbber malware and Audiograbber. The latter is able to rip more tracks, but still fails on the last one or two tracks. I then get an 'ASPI error' message. Analog ripping works fine. The problem occurs with CD's that are relatively http://www.birdcagesoft.com/ripissue.html long (e.g, 78:03 play time). Does anybody have an idea how I can prevent the problem? I am using a Dell Dimension 8400 Computer with a Pentium 4 3GHz prozessor. The DVD+RW drive is a Philips DVD8601. Does your ripping software allow you to select the read speed? If so, you should select a slower read (rip) speed. 17-11-2004 #3 lukasroth New on Forum Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 2 Re: ASPI error while ripping iTunes does not, but Audiograbber does, and I had success with speeds of less than 12x. Burning Audio CDs fail to Scan, Play, or Rip correctly Posted by Russell Samuels on May 22, 2014 If Audio CDs don't play, scan, or rip correctly try any of the following, after first verifying that you're using http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/42/10/audio-cds-fail-to-scan-play-or-rip-correctly the latest version of MediaMonkey: 1. Verify that CD sound hasn't been 'muted'. Double-click the speaker icon in the system tray, and ensure that 'mute' is not checked off for both Wave/MP3 and CD http://www.verycomputer.com/11_c9db4b8ba8a7662c_1.htm Audio. 2. If you have a CD/DVD drive that is connected as drive A or B then MediaMonkey won't read it. To change this, you'll need to edit the MediaMonkey.ini file and remove windows 10 the letter A or B as appropriate from the following section: [System] IgnoreDriveLetters=AB If you're not sure where to find the file, see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/16 3. Some systems experience stuttering on CD playback when the CD/DVD-Rom Access is set to "PIO Mode Only" and not To "DMA if Available". You can change this in Windows as follows: o Right-click on My Computer > click Properties > select Hardware cd-ripper aspi error tab > click Device Manager o Right click on the IDE channel to which the drive is connected and select the advanced tab o If PIO is used, change the setting to 'DMA if available' o Reboot and check in Device Manager > IDE Channel > Advanced whether DMA is now being used. If it isn't, click the Driver tab and then click 'uninstall'. o Reboot. On reboot, Windows will usually recognize the drive in DMA mode. o Try MediaMonkey again If this fails to set your controller to DMA mode, see: http://winhlp.com/node/10 4. If you have multiple drives, try disconnecting any external CD/DVD drives--on some systems, they may interfere with internal drives. 5. Some systems will play CDs correctly, but will fail to rip them if the 'Rip type' is set to 'Secure read'. Possible solutions/workarounds are to: o Update the drive's firmware to the most recent version o Switch Rip Type from 'Secure read' to 'Standard read' o Use "CFF Explorer.exe" from http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php to edit the 'File Header' and DISABLE the checkbox "App can handle > 2GB address space" for MediaMonkey.exe and MediaMonkey (non-skinned).exe . See description at: http://www.ls-uk.info/forum/index.php?topic=54930.0 6. If you still experience error messages, try del
