I have ONE machine out of 30 that is receiving this error when connecting to my internal WSUS server. All others https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/21240-client-error-error-0x80244021-to-wsus-server update correctly. The WSUS parameters are distributed by GPO therefore there shouldn't be an issue with the configuration. I do not use a proxy server. There was an issue with this machine a while back and I did delete the SoftwareDistribution folder but it has since been recreated. I can go to the Windows/Microsoft Update site and download and install the updates there. I seem affected with just the internal WSUS system. I've used the wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow switches to no avail. I've also removed the system from the WSUS snap-in. It does get detected again and reappears but no updates. And it doesn't report; it only contacts. I've done ipconfig /flushdns to ensure there wasn't an issue with DNS. I can ping my server correctly and do get a lovely general message when accHelp Receive Real-Time Help Create a Freelance Project Hire for a Full Time Job Ways to Get Help Ask a Question https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28920777/WSUS-Error-8024400D.html Ask for Help Receive Real-Time Help Create a Freelance Project Hire for a Full Time Job Ways to Get Help Expand Search Submit Close Search Login https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206795999-Common-Client-Issues-and-how-to-solve-them- Join Today Products BackProducts Gigs Live Careers Vendor Services Groups Website Testing Store Headlines Experts Exchange > Questions > WSUS Error 8024400D Want to Advertise Here? windows 10 Solved WSUS Error 8024400D Posted on 2016-01-26 Windows Server 2008 MS Server OS MS Applications MS Server Apps WSUS 1 Verified Solution 39 Comments 352 Views Last Modified: 2016-07-28 Good Afternoon, I have 20 Servers so far that wont register with their WSUS Server (WSUS Standalone Config) I have read several 0x80244019 windows 10 MS Technet articles and have tried various recommendations including: ---------------------------------------- 1. Rename the Windows Update related temporary folder: net stop wuauserv ren %windir%\SoftwareDistribution %windir%\SoftwareDistribution.old net start wuauserv 2. Download and install the latest WUAgent 3. Rename the catroot2 folder: net stop cryptsvc ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2 net start cryptsvc ------------------------------------------- Removed The Client ID Reg Entries from the registry and Reset Authorization and Tried to Detect. No Go... I can download the CAB Files if I copy and paste the URL's into the Browser on the servers that have the issue. Genuinely Stumped here..
