Try dialling the number on the normal phone - you'll proabbly get a dialing tone or a voice message effectively telling you to try again later. If broadband, I've tended to get this when my connectivity has dropped for some reason and the Dial Up Networking drivers in Windows have got their knickers in a twist. Rebooting sometiems helps in this case. Joe trentboy228-08-2005, 15:03I had the same problem, connection drop ever night between 7-9pm and back on during the day I rang my Broadband provider (Bulldog) and they said it could be anything from the street lights turning on to the next door neighbour watching tv. In desperation i installed another USB modem (I was using the Speedtouch 330) and suddenly evrything worked fine. I still get a connection drop a couple a time a day but it's much much better than it was. I told Bulldog about this and they said they'd send me a better one than the one i'm using now which is the Voyager 105. Call your provider and ask them to send you a better modem.
