Basically, my XMBC running on Windows 7 has randomly decided it does not want to play audio for video files anymore. It gives an error about failing to initialize audio device, check settings. Now, when I play music, it works. Also, audio is working in windows without issues, if OPen the same file directly in VLC and play it works just fine. My config is a ATI Radeon with HDMI out to a receiver. Anything anyone can suggest based on that information? Is there any type of logging I can pull to find more? Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC. Play a file (or music) that does work for a minute or two, then play a file where the sound doesn't work. Close XBMC. Open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type: "%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log" (including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.
