Windows Media Player message: An audio codec is needed to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, click Web Help. Help tab took me to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/PLAYER/WEBHELP/DEFAULT.ASPX?ID=C00D10D1&codec=75 You've encountered error message C00D10D1 while using Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or cannot play either the audio or video portion of the file) because the Voxware RT29 MetaSound (75) codec is not installed on your computer. this thread has the download link and explains problems people had trying to install it: http://www.wmplugins.com/ItemDetail.aspx?codec=75 Putting the zipped vox file on my desktop and creating a new folder on the desktop finally allowed me to right-click and choose "install" on the voxacm.inf file. After it "installed", I moved the folder to my programs in the C Drive. The first time I tried to right-click on the .inf file it was in my "Downloaded Programs" file in C Drive and "install" did not show up as an option. I now get this Windows Media Player message at the end of playing some of the videos that I couldn't play before: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. Strange, but the videos all played fine now. vBulletin v3.8.1, Copyright ©2000-2016, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
