I wanted to replace it with Win7. acpi int33a0 windows 7 I wiped, formatted and partitioned the HD. I changed the BIOS so it boots from the DVD. I put my 7 disc in and started. A message says it is loading files. In a minute or so I get the Blue Death Screen with the message: Problem detected, shut down to prevent possible damage. The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact vendor for updated version. ASUS has been off line for several days acpi int33a0 windows 7 dell so no help there. Anywhere else I can get a updated BIOS? If that is the problem. Is there a thread somewhere this was solved? One other thing, got the same results when I tried to install XP. If you need to update your BIOS, then you can likely download what you need from the ASUS website. What you described is typical of incorrect BIOS settings. If the BIOS settings were correct, I think you'd be able to do the clean install regardless of a BIOS update. I think you should delete all the partitions and let the Win 7 install do the partitioning and formatting. The Win 7 install will give you the opportunity to select what size partitions you desire. What are your BIOS options? So to resolve it I somehow decided to change it from UEFI boot to legacy boot After that I am not able to access boot options from any key F2/F12. Then I tried to install windows 7 from a bootable usb pen drive, which I created from Rufus software with option 'Partition Scheme http://superuser.com/questions/920450/bios-not-acpi-compliant-on-windows-7-installation and Target System type' set as 'MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI'. The laptop now boots with pen drive, and starts installing windows, but shows error BIOS not fully ACPI compliant, with error code 0x000000A5. Why I am getting this error, and how to resolve it? windows-7 bios acpi share|improve this question edited May 27 '15 at 23:25 asked May 27 '15 at 23:05 Sujata 16117 Why did you switch exactly? Windows 7 supports UEFI and GPT. –Ramhound May 27 '15 at 23:13 possible duplicate of "Bios Not fully ACPI compatible" –Ramhound May 27 '15 at 23:14 You changed "from UEFI to Legacy" but you're "not able to access [the] BIOS"? You changed to Legacy but are installing UEFI? I have no clue what you're asking or what you've done. Consider revision seeing as how I'm unable to edit for you giving the lack of clarity. Why can't you access the BIOS? What model of Lenovo Laptop? What kind of Win7/Win8? –BiTinerary May 27 '15 at 23:18 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Got my answer at lenovo official website.
