Adobe Pdf Printer For Windows 7
AM I have installed, repaired, uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat Pro 9.5.5 on a newly formatted SSD with Windows 7, 64 bit on my desktop machine. The program was installed from Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 and updated within the program. I have the program also installed on my laptop, and the Adobe PDF Printer driver is working properly on my laptop. On my desktop with the newly formatted adobe pdf printer for windows 7 64 bit free download SSD, the Adobe PDF printer driver is not working. Note that I am using the printer driver, and not any pdf creation techniques within MS Office or other programs. When I go to the Adobe PDF printing preferences on my desktop, I only get a generic, two tab window open. When I print a file to this printer on my desktop machine, I do not get a window opening that asks where to create the pdf or what to name it, and I never see any files created. In MS Word, the Create PDF option under the Acrobat tab works and opens a dialog to ask the name and location to save, and then opens a PDF Maker progress window and properly creates the file. I can also save a file as an .eps or .ps file and use Distiller to create the pdf. However I cannot get the Adobe PDF printer driver in my Devices and Printers to work properly, although it works just fine on my laptop with the same program (Pro 9.5.5) and same Windows version (7, 64 bit).Repairing, uninstalling and re-installing does not solve the problem. Acrotray.exe *32 process is running.

I've used all the previous releases of Acrobat Pro and never had this problem.Colin Colin Card 7 Answers https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1302185 Edit Answer (for another 11 minutes) Which operating system are you using, and which version? Have you tried to re-install Acrobat to see if that fixes the problem? Karl Heinz Kremer Edit Answer (for another -13 minute) "Which operating system are you using, and which version? Have you tried to re-install Acrobat to see if that fixes the problem? "Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Yes, I reinstalled Acrobat Pro XI and made sure it is up to date. I can print pdfs directly https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Adobe-printer-longer-working-q68037.aspx from Office applications BUT not from Windows Live mail or IE. From Word, Excel and so on one just clicks the button and the PDF converter fires up and creates the document. From WL or IE one has to select a printer, which also shows as the PDF Converter, but nothing happens. I have to admit that I'm much less pleased with XI than with X. I was trying to create a Portfolio today (which I often did in X) and had all manner of issues with Flash Player needing to be installed etc. etc. That's off topic I know, but this printer problem has never occurred with previous versions of Pro so I'm suspicious Adobe has added some bugs.
Colin Card Edit Answer (for another 3 minutes) OK, so it sounds like you are having problems when printing to the Adobe PDF printer, but the PDFMaker in e.g. Word is working. Have you tried to convert from Word by printing to Adobe PDF? Can you do this from any other application? I suspect that there is something wrong with how the Adobe PDF printer is set up. If you have more than one printer, try to switch the default printer back and forth and see if that changes things. Here are some troubleshooting tips for the PDFMaker, but they also talk about the Adobe PDF printer:http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/tro... Karl Heinz Kremer Edit Answer (for another -30 minute) Interesting. I only have the one 'printer' showing up, cabe down. Please try the request again. Your cache administrator is webmaster.
