The Internet Connection Sharing (ics) Service On Local Computer Started And Then Stopped
been reported. I am working on a xp pc and it will not start windows firewall/ics therefor windows firewall ics service disabled automatically i can not connect online, i read many fourms and nothing worked, i scanned the hard drive with kaspersky and got rid of 7 trojins, is there error 1075 windows firewall any fix? Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Xhi Posts: 6298 This post has been reported. The first thing I would do is run sfc /scannow. Go to Start -> Run -> Type in: sfc /scannow (with a space after http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/526825/windows-firewallics-service-cannot-start/ sfc) then click ok. let it run. You may need your Windows XP install disk. If that does not help then The web page "Error 2" when starting the Windows Firewall service seems to have a pretty good answer. If you do not understand the instructions on this page come back and ask. We'll be here. Basically I was sharing my LAN network through my wireless pci card. Since my wireless pci card broadcasts dual band a/b/g/n I figured it would help with my iphone and my other wireless networks. However one day it just stopped and I didn't quite have the time to windows firewall fix it. But now I don't remember when it stopped working and I tried a system restore. Short of reformatting, which I really don't want to do, I'm stuck. When I try to activate sharing it tells me, "Windows could not start the Internet Connectino Sharing (ICS) service on Local Computer. Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion." All my services for networking internet connection sharing are on except this one. I tried the sfc /scan now, and it says nothing is wrong. I tried restoring to the earliest restore point I had... no luck. My computer doesn't have a virus. Please... help me Tuesday, May 15, 2012 6:18 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, To repair the firewall first, and then the ICS.
