"service-specific error code 5" using HP G62 laptop running Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium 64-bit i had a rootkit on the laptop and i think it's completely removed but i still cannot activate the firewall, I used kaspersky rescue disk 10, rkill and mbam to remove rootkit. hope someone can help.... Do you want to start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service?" I click "Yes." I went to properties and Firewall settings but it says it can't dispaly them becasue the Firewall/ICS service isn't running and then attempts to start the service and reports it cannot. The same thing happens if you go directly to Windows Security Settings / Firewall in Control Panel. How do I fix this please?
