exact issue is when I try to go in and start the service manually I get "Error 1068: The dependancy service or group failed to start." I know I have the required services runnung except the Internet Connection Sharing service which gives me the same error. I have tried reseting winsock and all that other stuff but it just dosn't work. Thanks in advance. I have since cleaned my system, but the firewall kept giving me the "1068: dependancy service can't turn off firewall windows 7 or group failed to start" error. I tried the advice you gave the person in the closed thread about the same problem but my problem seems to come from a slightly different error from his. Nothing malicious reported back from Malwarebytes and Microsoft Secrity Essentials full scans. I've tried performing a Windows Update and a few registry things to no avail. Any pointers to resolving this greatly appreciated!
