prompted me that my Firewall was not enabled. When I click on “Recommendations� it takes met to a window that prompts me to “enable the firewall.� When I click on the “Enable� button, it indicates that “We’re sorry. The Security Center could not turn on Windows Firewall. To try turning on the firewall yourself, go to Windows Firewall in Control netsh winsock reset Panel. In the Windows Firewall dialog General tab, select On (recommended), and then click OK. When I go to the Control Panel and click on Windows Firewall, I am prompted with a message that indicates, “Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service?� Once I click the “Yes� button it indicates that, “Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service.� To try to manually start ICS, I right-clicked on “My Computer� and selected “Manage�. Then I went to “Services and Applications�, “Services�, and clicked on Start for the “Windows Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service� The error message that I get after that is, “Could not start the Windows Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service on Local Computer. Error 10047: An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used� Any help would be greatly appreciated !
