In this first post, I will cover Windows XP and Windows Vista / Windows 7 separately as they are two different services. Last I will cover one issue with OneCare. Note: Specifics on Windows Vista and Windows 7will come in a later blog post. Windows XP In Windows XP, the firewall service is named "Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)", or SharedAccess service. I have tried to go into the services, and turn on the DHCP Client, however I get an Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion, and it will not start. I am running Windows XP Home Edition, SP3. I thank you in advance for the help.
