Some steps might be dirt 3 windows live product key pointless but hey mine works now. Let me know if this fixes your issues also guys!1. Uninstall Microsoft Games for Windows - Live Redistributable, Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace, and Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant.2. Restart PC3. Download the GFWL Client from http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/DownloadClient4 Install the GFWL Client that was just downloaded and Login with same ID the Dirt3 product key is tied to.5. Launch Dirt 3 and attempt to sign in. When it asks to allow the update accept it and close Dirt 3 when prompted.6. Wait for pointless GFWL update to finish7. Launch DIrt 3 again and sign in. IT WILL FAIL AGAIN. Quit after it does once more.8. Unistall ONLY "Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace" for a second time.9. Run the GFWL Client that was downloaded in step 3 again and sign in.10. Launch DIrt 3 with "Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace" minimized and now your profile should be able to download and sign in to Live.Like I said, there are probably many steps not needed. But I know this worked for me so I thought I'd include everything. The games amazing now that I can sav

day (that all went smoothly apart from steams obvious server overloading / bandwidth saturation issues) and fired it up and had my first experience with Games for Windows Live. Eugh. Anyway, I've put together a quick note on how http://steamcommunity.com/app/44320/discussions/0/616187204039948912/ to get Windows Live to work with Dirt 3 if you're having problems. To be honest the only reason I wanted to get the sign in working is so the bloody game remembers my controller settings >:| The symptoms I was experiencing were that whenever I signed into the first sign-in screen, I'd enter my username, password and game key then continually receive an invalid username / password screen. To verify I wasn't going insane I logged into http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1909097 Windows Live Marketplace and also via the Windows Live portal page with no issues. I read that a lot of people are having the same problem and just press ESC when presented at the initial login page, then they can sign in at the main menu. The problem there is that you haven't actually created a profile and therefore no settings will be saved. Anyway, here's what I did to get it to work. Press Home at the initial sign-on screen. Click on Messages Click link to signup to live (even though you already have an account) Enter email address you've already registered on web page Sign in at redirect (i.e. click continue) Go back to game, sign in again, enter reg code and it works! Gotta say, Steam definitely have their ♥♥♥♥♥ together when compared to Microsofts Games for Windows Live. 08-30-2011, 08:58 PM #2 jota320 Guest Posts: n/a HELP Hi there, if it isn't much trouble can you guide me to the process of offline set up, I can't find any home button when Dirt3 opens, I'm really frustrated I've not been able to properly play the game since I bought it. to remove Games for Windows Live from Dirt 3 and transition it to Steamworks instead? That was in 2013. I don't imagine anyone took them too seriously three months ago when they said http://www.pcgamer.com/dirt-3-finally-leaves-games-for-windows-live-in-the-dirt/ they were still working on it, but today the studio announced that the http://www.alialsawaf.com/post/36741943821/how-to-fix-games-for-windows-live-on-windows-8-pro magic moment has finally arrived."First up I want to say sorry for just how long it has taken to move DiRT 3 to Steamworks and I would also like to thank you all for keeping up the pressure on us to move it over. Every day I have over a hundred notifications on my Steam windows live account, there are threads thousands of comments deep about it and countless Tweets and Facebook messages - while you’d think it would be the kind of thing that would bug the hell out of me, you’d be wrong," Community Manager Lee Williams wrote on Steam. "It just goes to show that you guys love DiRT and care about it a lot."Interestingly, it appears that instead of actually changing Dirt games for windows 3, Codemasters is simply giving everyone who owns it a free copy of Dirt 3 Complete Edition, which includes all of the DLC and uses Steamworks instead of GFWL. "Those who originally purchased the game via Steam will notice that the now old GFWL version of DiRT 3 will still be in your library," Williams wrote. "You will still be able to play this version but it will still include Games for Windows Live and you won’t have access to the Complete Edition content—nothing will have changed with that older version."Unfortunately, because of differences in the two versions, saves are not compatible, so veteran Dirt-ers will have to start over from scratch. On the upside, owners of the boxed or GFWL versions can activate those keys on Steam to get the Dirt 3 Complete Edition at no charge. A few users, myself included, have reported that the game hasn't appeared in their library yet; Williams suggested that anyone encountering a delay log out of Steam and then reconnect. doesn’t really work with Windows 8 Pro x64. Good Fact: it’s not that difficult to fix. If GFWL isn’t working for you (best way to check is play a GFWL game and see if you can bring up the home menu. If not, it’s broken) here’s what to do. NOTE: YOU MUST MUST MUST DO THESE STEPS EXACTLY. DON’T SKIP ON REBOOTING OR ANYTHING. ALSO MAKE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE FILE I’VE LINKED TO, AND NOT ANY OTHER VERSION OF GFWL. 1\ uninstall both “Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable” AND “Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace” 2\ reboot 3\ download the GFWL installer from here. 4\ IMPORTANT: Right click the above installer, go to properties and change its compatibility to “Windows 7”. Save and exit. 5\ IMPORTANT: Right click the installer, and choose “Run asadministrator” 6\ After it’s installed, run the GFWL game again. It should now work fine and redownload your profile. Steps 4 and 5 are really, REALLY, REALLY important.
