Screen During Install Of Windows XP By: Garrett Blanton - December 9, 2009 Over the weekend I helped remove Windows Vista from my friends Dell Latitude E4300. Since all the drivers were offered on their support site I downloaded the SATA driver, merged the driver into Windows XP SP2 using nLite, then started the reinstallation process. Just after copying files to the hard drive the laptop would crash into a blue screen with the following error; STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). After scouring the web for fixes and trying many things that didn’t work, I finally came across a fix that allowed me http://ccm.net/forum/affich-611789-windows-xp-2-install-in-blue-screen-error to fully install Windows XP Pro SP2 onto a Dell Latitude E4300. I resolved the stop issue by the following these steps. 1. During start up, when you see the Dell logo, press F2 to enter the BIOS 2. Expand the "Drives" section 3. Go to "SATA Operation" 4. Change this from "RAID AHCI" to "RAID ATA" 5. Exit BIOS saving changes Tags: Blue Screen, CPU Fix, Windows https://www.jvfconsulting.com/blog/stop-0x0000007b-0xf78d2524-0xc0000034-0x00000000-0x00000000-blue-screen-during-install-of-windows-xp/ XP STOP Error Trevor Hutchinson I have setup a new 500gb toshiba SATA 2 hard drive to run dual boot. Windows XP pro 32bit and windows 64bit. Unable to install XP pro, just goes into error and blue screen. I've removed the hard drive and placed it in my Packard Bell, loaded XP pro 32bit and win 8 64bit with no problem, and both run fine. Removed the hard drive from the packard bell laptop and place it back into the HP g6-1278sa, dual boot screen on start up. Options windows 8 or earlier windows. Windows 8 works fine. Windows XP pro starts to load and then we get the blue screen with error message. I've look at my advanced settings in the bios but nothing about Sata drives? There are multiple issues, not all of which may have a satisfactory solution. One of these is the difficulty in obtaining drivers. The XP install disk certainly won't have them and it is doubtful that Sony will either. It is best not to even try.Have you tried compatibility more?If you really must run XP it would be best to do so under a virtual machine under Windows 7. Basically, I am unable to get through the installation process of Windows XP on a newer laptop of mine. I am getting a consistant blue screen of death at the same point of the installation each time, and I have tried different XP installation discs and even prepared a USB drive with the installation setup and still get a BSOD. The blue screen appears right as the setup appears to have loaded the files for the setup, it never loads into the screen where you pick your partition to install the OS onto. The laptop came preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and I attempted to install it while Windows 7 was still installed, but kept getting the BSOD, so I used Kill Disc to wipe the drive clean. Still no luck. Again, I have tried 2 different Windows XP Home 32-bit CD's, as well as a USB prepared install (using one of the discs as an ISO). Any ideas?
