and the second as HDD. The system boots from the cd and shows that setup is loading the files. And immediately after that a blue screen pops up and says a message. I'm not able to move further. the message states something like this setup could not continue if this is the first time...........chect for viruses on ur computer......run chkdsk-f....and so on.... So please somebody help

It's really annoying me. I'm writing this by logging into ultimate boot cd. Strange because, it never happened before. Just about a week ago I installed and it installed perfectly fine. (I used a different Windows XP CD & a different DVD drive blue screen error then). Now I'm trying to install windows xp pro sp3. When I insert the CD. Everything till "Loading %^$@#$@#$..." is fine. Then comes the step "Starting Windows Setup" and then suddenly a Blue Screen pops up. It says: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Plug & Play detected an error most likely caused by faulty driver. If this is the first time you've seen this error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps. Check to makes sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching and shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.
