Report System shutdown[Solved/Closed] Ask a question Jim - Latest answer on May 29, 2014 06:30PM dcom error windows 7 Hello, My ACER laptop wont stay turned on. It keeps getting a message of The system is shutting down it has been authorized windows xp shutdown sound by NT AUTHORITY \SYSTEM. windows server must shut down because the DCOM Server Process Launcher terminated unexpectedly. I get a 30 second countdown and then the comp reboots and then THAT 'S IT! PLEASE HELP! I have tried

(More info?)Had computer crash. Upon restart found that primary drive (formerly E:) isnow C: Drive has WinXP windows xp shut down timer Pro with SP2 and all updates, one partition. Alsohave 2nd drive, which was C: before crash, now D:, one partition. Was ableto finally get good XPPro SP2 http://ccm.net/forum/affich-59483-system-shutdown and all updates installed on new D: Booting from new C:, boot and loading of programs isnormal. All programs load. At very end of program load, however, errorwindow appears: "This system is shutting down. Please save all work inprogress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost.
