Patched up to SP3 with all security updates. Installations https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/838687 goes fine until the final bits writing to the registry; Then it kicks up an error with:error 1406: can't write value RetrPath for Key \software\kasperskylab\protected\avp12\profiles\updater\setting\defRights on the key is fine and should work. I can even enter keys myself.There's nothing installed on the system yet except for office 2010 and previously mentioned security updates/servicepacks. However, the exact names of the options could be different.1) Right click on the key and choose "Permissions".2) Click on "Advanced" and select the tab "Owner". 3) Select "Everyone".
