I've called Xbox, Linksys, and my ISP Comcast and I have gotten no answers. Another problem is that when I try to go to the Linksys router page in order to open up whatever port is blocking the dns server for internet to my Xbox my browser can't open up the Linsys page when I type in the default IP. I'm at a complete loss for any other ideas so please someone help me out in any way possible. Thanks. When I direct connect to my modem it works fine so I know that the problem is with my router/ISP but the thing is that I can't access my router settings via my web browser because whenever I type in the default IP address my browser says the page can not be displayed. I have done just about every type of troubleshooting I can think of but have had no change in my situation. I called Comcast and they wouldn't help me because since the problem is with my router and because my router isn't a Comcast router then they can't help. I don't really know what else to do. I did was fire up my Xbox One and it wouldn't connect to xbox live. I tested network settings to read this message; "Your DNS server can't resolve Xbox LIVE server names." I was not very happy and immediately started googling. Finding answers wasn't very easy, so I'll do my best get you gaming quickly. Power cycle everything. Unplug your Xbox One, router and modem, wait at least 30 seconds. Plug your router in and wait for it to fully boot up. Next plug in your modem. Now plug in your Xbox One and test your connection. This is step didn't work for me, but it's always your first step if you can't connect to xbox live. Step 2 is changing your DNS to Google DNS. From the home screen press the menu button and select settings. Now go to the network box, once you select it scroll down to advance settings. Next hit DNS setting and select manual. You will now be prompted to input your primary DNS. This is where you will enter the Google DNS which is 8.8.8.8 and press enter. Now enter your secondary DNS which is 8.8.4.4 press enter. Hit "B" to save, and it should test your connection. If it worked you will get the message "it's all good." If you are confused by any of the steps please watch the video below.
