Not sure if you have an Enterprise version of Norton, but this help file may be of some use. http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH100470 You could also use Command Prompt as an administrator and type sfc /scannow in the Run box, and it will attempt to repair the file. You can also turn off various notifications in the UI Settings menu.
