An error had been detected with a required amtlib.dll cs6 application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application." To remove adobe tool a virus/spyware, I used Micro Trend Pc-Cillin and Ad-Aware programs. I guess it was "overly effective." I also downloaded handful amtlib.dll crack of Microsoft Windows XP updates. My restore funcion was also disabled per Pc-Cillin's instructions. Your help will be greatly apprciated. Thank you in advance. Sat, 15 October 2005 23:15 dave_milbut (Photoshop expert) if you've already reinstalled, see the faq and reset the prefrences. Sun, 16 October 2005 00:02 Charles_P (Photoshop begginer) Thank you, Dave, for taking the time to respond. I http://www.clearps.com/photoshop-forum/index.php/t/47441/ did as you instructed (per FAQ "how to delete/reset PS Preferences -- LenHewitt, "How to delete/reset Photoshop preferences" #1, 23 Jun 2004 1:05 am ) but it is still giving me the same error message. I appreciate your help though. Sun, 16 October 2005 00:03 Charles_P (Photoshop begginer) Sorry. Correction on the web URL above: LenHewitt, "How to delete/reset Photoshop preferences" #1, 23 Jun 2004 1:05 am Sun, 16 October 2005 01:02 Michael_D_Sullivan (Photoshop expert) It sounds like you may have a bad plug-in. I'd suggest going to your plugin directory and renaming each non-adobe plugin or subdirectory with a ~ (tilde) before the name to disable them and see if it works. If so, you can rename them back, a few at a time, until you see where the problem is. Also, if you have an additional plugins directory, follow the same procedure there. (But if you've reset your preferences, you probably don't have an additional plugins directory defined now!)
