If you are just playing for free, you will only need the Classic client. If you have a paid account, want to start one, or plan to upgrade later, it's much easier to get the full client from the start. It's a larger download, but you will only have to patch once, since when you upgrade, you will need to download the Full client and re-patch it from the beginning. If you want to start downloading now here are the links, but before you install, read Section 4, because there are some issues you may run into while installing.
