See what you have there and where it actually puts your data parts such as media, backups, data, etc. It could be a missing folder or in the case of Vista a not allowed folder. (I don't have Vista to be sure on this one). These are likely problems. The RootsmagicApp.xml file is where your registration key is stored by RM4. I'm not having this problem, but this might clear the problem up. I closed RM4 and then copied the RootsmagicApp.xml file into a different folder. Then I deleted it from the C:\ProgramData\Rootsmagic\Version4\ folder. When I reopened RM4, I had to reenter my registration key. I chose Register later as I have already registered the key online. C:\ProgramData\Rootsmagic\Version4\RootsmagicApp.xml", then an "OK" is at the bottom of the box, being the only option, you click that and everything closes back to the desktop.?
