The water temp is 60 so it should be generating chlorine but it's not. I thought I was low on salt so I added salt but the reading just keeps saying 1900 - not changing. I read some information on the Internet and checked

it out and there is a wire that comes from one end of the Aquarite tube and connects to the bottom of the electrical box on the wall, and that wire is very tiny and flimsy and it had some electrical tape on it. I moved the tape and there is a black wire and a red wire. The red wire is hanging loose - connected to nothing. The black wire is connected to another wire but maybe it's not a good connection. I don't even know what that electrical wire is for! It's soldered now though. I have "no flow" and the salt reading on the digital display is just staying at 1900. Could it be that my filters need replaced? I cleaned them and they were really dirty because we had some storms last month but that didn't help. Could it be some kind of fuse blew? Does it matter which direction the Aquarite tube is screwed on? Because I flipped it over and tried running it the other direction - maybe I accidentally put it on backwards before - I have no idea. Does anyone have a clue?? I might have to contact the manufacturer.... I wonder if it's because my cartridges are so old they aren't allowing enough water to flow through? Will it hurt anything if I remove 1 or more cartridges to test my theory and see if the "no flow" comes off t

However, that white layer appears in the inside of the chlorinator box. It's the lead that connects to the blue wire to the chlorinator control. It's basically a bolt with the head on the inside of the chlorinator and the threaded bit protruding outside of the box.
