I have installed the Office 2007 ADMX templates exchange 2007 autodiscover certificate error and have enabled the option "Automatically configure profile based on Active Directory Primary SMTP address". My goal is to ensure that when a user double-clicks on Outlook, it will automatically create their

The certificate it is referring to is a valid one which is installed on our Exchange server. This certificate isn't normally problem for us because we can easily use OWA internally without any issues so I'm not sure why it is outlook 2010 autodiscover certificate error not being automatically accepted in this situation. Question: How to I configure things so that my signed certificate is accepted automatically? Not sure if that would work because manually installed that certificate on that server (xenapp) and installed in in the Trusted Root Certificate Store....didn't make a difference, although I noticed that after I did this, I checked the trusted root cert store on that machine and still couldn't see the name of my cert. i.e. if the name on the cert was mail.company.ca, I did

I'm considering a couple of things as a workaround until we can upgrade to Exchange 2007or 2010. 1-Add a DNS record to resolve autodiscover.place.com to an unreachable ip, but don't know if that will work, or what the implications would be on the client side for configured, and not configured, clients. 2 Add a DNS record to resolve to a web server that does have a good Cert. Even though the clients would still be prompted about the name mismatch, we could then advise users to click on "Yes" when prompted. My Question: Is there any way we could use DNS to break teh autodiscover process where the user will not be prompted for cert alert AND without unknowingly affect other aspects of client communications? I know that Exchange 2003 doesn't support autodiscover, but when they launch their Outlook Client (2007) they get the error that there is a problem with the autodiscover certificate. Outlook2007Error1.jpg I think this has something to do with the fact that the autodiscover certificate error Certificate its name is remote.company.com, but locally it's just the local name of the sbsserver? Is there a way to fix this because Exchange 2003 isn't using Autodiscover? I have found the following URL to change this problem (http://itbloggen.se/cs/blogs/micke/archive/2009/02/07/outlook-2007-auto-discover-feature-and-sbs2008-amp-ebs2008.aspx) but when I Reques a new certificate on the SBS 2003 I get the following error.
