10 Database Error Backup Assistant
angelseed01 Jan 8, 2013 10:42 AM I am using a Samsung Stratosphere. Recently I have been unable to sync sync error code 10 my contacts on Backup Assistant. I constantly get Error Code 25, Failed to Sync. Any help? I did attempt to put the phone into safe mode a couple of times but the phone will not stay in safe mode. The phone powers on and it says "safe mode" on the screen, but as soon as I press a button or attempt to do anything the screen goes black and then comes back on after a couple seconds and the "safe mode" message is gone. I believe it http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-help/6756-backup-assistant-unable-sync.html was because I set up a PIN, then when they were doing more activation stuff (syncing my old phone with the Droid X, etc) they put in the PIN wrong multiple times. It locked the Backup Assistant. I did the recovery and reset of the PIN but it is now forever not functioning. I enter my PIN, it says Error, incorrect PIN. I hit Forgot PIN, it gives me my PIN. I enter it again, Incorrect PIN. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. I wouldn't care much (since the Droid X and Google sync works for me). However, every morning, the Backup Assistant error shows up telling me it can't sync my contacts because the PIN is incorrect. I'm not going to factory reset my phone just to remove the error ("fix the problem"). I don't want to set my phone back up with all my apps, all the settings how I had them, etc. But if there was an app to HIDE, REMOVE, or stop Backup Assistant from running, that'd be really nice. Or just a fix to get it working again, whether I use it or not. Verizon was no help to me. I'm guessing removing the app is a no-go from what I've ready about rooting the droid, but maybe that's changed.

I entered all my info on the Verizon "backup assistance" (contacts, ph #'s & downloaded pictures for some of them) and all went over to my phone except the pictures. I tried re-doing and rebooting but still just sync's the info and not the pic's. Has anyone got any solutions to this or had this problem too? Thanks!!
