I'm trying to use desproxy for SSH. I have followed the manuals carefully, and right now when I try to use Putty to connect, I get the error: "HTTP 502 Proxy Error - The ISA Server denies the specified Uniform bad gateway Resource Locator (URL)." (Amongst a lot of other HTML tags) My OS is Windows 2000, my proxy requires authentication. This error is the same as I get if I try to connect straight using Putty (without using desproxy) and using Putty's inbuilt proxy support. Any solution? The manual classifies this 502 error as 'MINOR', however I'm yet to find a solution! Thanks all Regards Aaron If you would 502 bad gateway like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link: Miguelanxo Otero Salgueiro - 2004-01-11 Ok I'm yet to revisite the source code, but IMHO the Microsoft ISA (aka web-proxy) reports an HTTP 502 HTTP Error where it should report an HTTP 403 Error, because it looks like your proxy is blocking content. HTTP 403 (Forbidden) is the "good way" to report blocked access. HTTP 502 (Bad gateway) is normally reported in a lookup failure (host not found). Well, you may blame me, or blame microsoft, but whichever you blame it looks like you're srewed. Desproxy won't work. Sorry.
