Today I was backing up my device and the process went blackberry desktop software for windows quite quickly. I had some doubts and when i went to look for the file it was not in the designated folder. I tried doing back up again, and the moment it got to "backing up browser options" the process stopped http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-bold-9000-f83/error-backing-up-blackberry-desktop-76795/ and i got the following error message: "Error backing up databases" Every attempt to back up fails at this point and i get the same message. Than I went to look at the dates of my last back up and it is dated March 20th 2009, which is two days after I got my BB service on my phone. Apparently, all other back ups ( every tuesday) have failed, but i have also failed to notice. I haven't installed any other programs nor http://www.blackberryforums.com/general-blackberry-discussion/188892-back-up-error-cant-back-up-database.html done anything else which i don't usually do on my phone. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'm running 4.5.181 and DM version 4.5 P.S i Already tried this Can't Back up Database __________________ BB Support rule #1: When in doubt, pull it out..... You can try using the advanced part of the BackUp/Restore to backup the other DBs, and make sure that is the only corrupt database. Actually try clearing your Bowser cache. __________________ 8830 -> 8330 -> 9550 -> 9650 Just think about how far BlackBerries have come from then till now... And what else is coming. I pluged in my 9630 (os 5) and started syncing music, importing my pictures and videos, etc. Everything works fine until I try to click on the "Applications" menu item in BB Desktop. It searches for a while, then gives the error "There was a problem communicating with the device". Backing up also does not work, it says "there was an error backing up". View 2 Replie
