Tried calling RIM support, they got the same error on all of their devices, tech thought it was due to the device not having enough memory. (Even though I tried it with a 1GB Micro SD card). I also tried a much larger file (77MB) on the curve and got a different error: "HTTP Error 403: Forbidden You are not authorized to view this page. Please try loading a different page" I have already confirmed that it's not a permissions issue with the web-server.
