Screen Error in Windows Working in IT, I've come across number strange STOP errors in Windows that are only fixed by doing something stop 0x00000f4 windows 7 64 bit ridiculously obscure! Recently, I came across another STOP error that is very

obscure, but pretty easy to fix! Well, at least it was easy to fix for me. Here's

the error on the associated blue screen when I am working on the troubled computer: Stop: 0x000000F4 (0x00000000003, 0xFFFFFADF50, 0xFFFFFADF50EC32A8, etc) To fix this, I tried all kinds of http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/blue-screen-showing-stop-0x000000f4/2c1cbc30-8f38-4e33-8721-03e3de7de907 things before calling Dell support, such as replacing the memory, switching out video cards, replacing the motherboard, running all kinds of hardware and memory diagnostic tools, etc, etc. Sadly, nothing worked! We knew it was not a software issue because we have a bunch of identical machines, all with the same software configuration. Hence, we had to make a http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/how-to-fix-stop0x000000f4-blue-screen-error-in-windows/ call to good ol Dell technical support. Note that recently we had installed a new hard drive into the computer and starting getting these blue screen errors a few days later. While talking with the Dell rep, he had me do all kinds of stuff! Firstly, I had to un-plug the computer, and pull out the monitor, keyboard and mouse cords. After that, we removed all the memory, plugged everything back in and rebooted. Same blue screen! We then took out and replaced other parts of the computer, rebooting and unplugging the computer each time we took something out or put something back in. Finally, I took out the CMOS battery (the small round battery on your motherboard), rebooted, then re-installed it, and rebooted the machine again. It fixed the problem! So this STOP error is related to either a low CMOS battery or simply having to take it out and put it back in. Next time you add some new hardware to your computer, you have get this error because t

My system BSOD at random : sometime it last let say 3 days without, sometimes twice a day. Unfortunately I cannot present any dump file right now bacause my Win 7 doesnt create anything in the minidump folder - it because after BSOD bios doesn't recognise system drive. Every time after BSOD blue screen error I have to cold start to get logged to Win 7 otherwise there is no system HDD. Please find below BSOD info I get: STOP: 0x00000F4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA8008BB7B30, 0xFFFFFA80008BB7E10, 0xFFFFF800031E88B0) Sometimes I get a bit different but unfortunately couldnt have copied this due to my PC was restarting automatically after BSOD. It something like KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR but there are no error code numbers known to me. I need to mention I have done a Prime 95 check ( ran it more than one hour ) and chkdsk /f /r and all result were fine More about my system: Win 7 Home Premium 64 Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM OCZ ZX Series 1250W Modular Power Supply Asus P8P67 PRO Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** Asus Xonar Essence STX Sound Card OCZ Agility 3 60GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive (AGT3-25SAT3-60G) G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM) Western Digital Caviar Black 750GB SATA 6Gbs 64MB Cache - OEM (WD7502AAEX) x 2 - RAID Mirroring LiteOn iHOS104-37 4x BD-ROM Drive 8x DVD-ROM (Black) - OEM Gigabyte GeForce G
