Hi, Windows Vista Home 32-bit was crashing regularly. I blue screen error windows 8 did a system restore with the recovery DVD from the manufacturer (HP). The most recent time, I got a screen saying my acct was disabled, contact sys admin (that's me! It's a home PC ;-) It would not accept a login. But after a minute or so, blue screen of death: STOP: 0x0000001A (0x00008884,0x83D98414,Ox83D923f0,0x00000506) Ran chdsk- no errors found. Ran memory check from BIOS- no problem found. Any ideas? Any idea what could be going on? Or, does anyone know of an event viewer utility that will let read the dump file that comes on a bootable disk? That at least would help me troubleshoot more.
