The chip maker's latest patch for its GeForce line of graphics processing units (GPUs) is causing errors for a number of people, according to complaints on forums and social media. Nvidia just released the update in preparation for tomorrow's launch of The Division military shooter, but some people who installed it today are now getting the dreaded Blue Screen of Death on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 when they boot up their machines. This is preventing the affected people from getting into their PCs. Nvidia has acknowledged the problem on its customer forums, and it has provided the following statement: "Initial investigation suggests the issue is isolated to multiple-monitor configurations. Should you experience issues, you can either disconnect one monitor during the driver installation (and reconnect once completed) or you can uninstall the driver through Windows Safe-Mode and revert to a previous version. Our driver team is actively investigating the issue, and we will have more information shortly." Some affected GeForce owners were previously claiming that multiple monitors are the source of the troubles, and now Nvidia has confirmed that is an issue. If you are wond
due to video card or video driver related issues. Below are our recommendations in resolving this error. Note: If http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001268.htm you are unable to boot into Windows because the blue screen occurs immediately after Windows loads boot the computer Into Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode open the http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/508030/still-having-issues-display-driver-fail-blue-screen-of-death/ Device Manager and remove all devices under "Display adapters" and reboot the computer to reinstall the video card. Download and install latest drivers Download and install the latest blue screen video drivers directly from the computer manufacturer. Or, if you are using a video card with an ATI or Nvidia chipset, you can download them from that company's website. See the video card driver's section for additional help with video drivers and listings of video card manufacturers. If you have recently updated the video drivers and this blue screen error issue began to occur it is likely due to an issue with the drivers. If available we suggest downgrading to an earlier driver version to resolve this issue. Let Windows re-detect and reinstall video card If downloading and installing the latest video drivers doesn't resolve the issue do the following. Open Device Manager, expand "Display adapters", and remove all devices listed in Display adapters by highlighting the device and pressing the delete key. Once this has been completed and Display adapters is gone, reboot the computer and allow Windows to reinstall the video card. Other driver related issues If doing the above driver suggestions does not resolve this issue make sure that no other driver related issues exist on the computer by making sure no errors exist in Device Manager. To do this open the Device Manager and making sure no devices exist with exclamation marks and that no "Other" devices are listed. If either of these exist, you can usually resolve the issues by downloading drivers for t

My main internet browser is Firefox. I am having a problem with my computer randomly blue-screening on me (cache dump), shortly after saying that my Display Driver has failed. Sometimes the Display Driver recovers, and sometimes it leads to the blue screen. I had a topic in this forum about it (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/504053/display-driver-failing-and-the-blue-screen-of-death/) but they believed it was hardware/software, and sent me to the Windows 7 forum. I had a topic in there (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/506401/display-driver-failing-blue-screen-cache-dump-and-more/?p=3148529) and they're sending me back here, because they think it's still malware :3 OH! Another issue that is still irking me is Internet Explorer. It keeps popping up while i'm browsing on Firefox, and redirecting me to random websites. I have a document of all the URLS its tried to redirect me to, if you'd like to see it. This issue was addresed in the last thread I had in this forum. Soo....here we go again <33 Any help would be VASTLY appreciated.
