Blue Screen Error Code D1
The last two times, it just straightens itself out after a day or two of being turned off. But this time I need the computer TODAY! My work is on it and not on my http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-update/blue-screen-on-boot-immediate-restart-no-error-or/4470bf3c-cff9-478c-b673-605d8900f386 flash drive. I tried restarting in safe mode using F8 but nothing happened. Just loads into the blue screen, no words. Last time I turned it off using the power button, I tried hitting the F8, but it just loaded back to the blue screen, then I kept touching F8, the screen turned dark gray. Still no words, nothing. What can I do??? SMJ11, Feb 20, 2012 #1 blues_harp28 Trusted https://forums.techguy.org/threads/blue-screen-no-error-codes.1041912/ Advisor Joined: Jan 9, 2005 Messages: 17,865 Hi and welcome. How old is your Pc - what is the model number? If you feel able to so, check inside the Pc? Turn the Pc off - leave the plug in to maintain the earth. Once you have opened the case. [if you an anti static wrist band, use it] Touch the metal case to discharge any static. Remove any dust - do not use a vacumm cleaner, too much static. Check that all fans are free of dust and will rotate. Remove Ram - Video cards etc and then Reseat them in their slots. But first - clean the copper connections of the Ram - Video cards with a pencil eraser. If more than one Ram stick - use just one at a time installed in your Pc, as a test. Put the case back on the Pc - and see if it will boot to the desktop. blues_harp28, Feb 20, 2012 #2 This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies. Viruses, corrupt drivers, and even poorly written programs can cause it.Here's an example of the screen with some notations on what to look for: Finally, a note on shorthand. A STOP 0x0000007a error is referred to (in shorthand) as a STOP 0x7a error. It's just a way of not having to write all them
