Blue Screen Error Windows 7 64 Bit
has ran fine for the first week, yesterday I installed a USB sound card (it's a Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Amigo, downloaded the windows 7 64 bit drivers from the Turtlebeach.com website) restarted and everything was https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2528614 going fine. The USB sound card worked fine and everything was running perfectly. A few hours later the computer blue-screened and I got a USB bug error. I restarted and it started back up, something happened and it restarted again (it started up and was running then BSOD again I believe didn't see the error). Anyways I figured it was something odd with the USB sound card so I powered the computer http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/14542-63-bsod-stop-0x000050-errors back up. I started windows in normal mode and as I see the windows screen with the loading bar and it BSOD again. This time it said: Page_fault_in_nonpage_area Stop error of 0x0000050 I restarted and it offered to repair the startup files. I said ok, but got the same error. I turned off the computer unplugged the USB soundcard and then started it back up. It just gave me a generic there was a problem BSOD with a stop error of 0x000007e. I try to start up in safe mode, same thing. So I think OK I'll simply reinstall Win 7 as I have my files backed up on my spare HDD. I put in the disc and press a key to start with it and it starts loading the installer up like it's going to work but BSOD again before the installer starts. I've googled it a few times, but I can't seem to come up with anything definitive. I've tried booting in safe mode and tried not forcing drivers to be digitally signed, but even then BSOD. Any ideas how I can fix this? Could it be that my hdd has died? It's a 2002 hdd, so I think it's possible, however I would think I would start getting input/output error
a friend this weekend. He was paving an old HP Envy laptop (although this happens on some Dell Inspirons as well) and was getting http://www.hanselman.com/blog/FIXEDBlueScreenOfDeathBSOD7EInHIDCLASSSYSWhileInstallingWindows7.aspx a blue screen in the middle of install. Then, of course, if you're not looking at it you'll just reboot and drop back into setup and get the "the computer restarted unexpectedly http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/200369-bsod-startup-repair-error-0x0000007e.html or encountered an unexpected error." At this point he was in a setup loop. "HIDCLASS.SYS" is the driver that failed. HID means Human Interface Device, and that means "keyboards or mice" for blue screen the most part. Errors in HIDCLASS.SYS, especially during setup, almost always means that there's trouble with an attached keyboard or attached mouse. I asked my buddy if he had a mouse attached and he did. He removed the mouse, and started setup over again. Setup succeeded. Then, he spent about an hour (and several reboots) getting Windows 7 "gold" (which was released in July of blue screen error 2009, almost 5 years ago) up to date with patches, service pack 1, and the latest drivers. Then he was able to attach his mouse and it works fine. Sponsor: Big thanks to Mindscape for joining us and sponsoring the blog feed this week!
