I've tried to do a repair on XP but it won't go there since the BSoD is preventing it. I've tried to restart my PC several times and finally got to logon into windows. Others that had BSOD with partmgr.sys couldn't boot into their systems either. Some resolve this will reinstalling Windows w/o format.Others found that a driver conflict with their antivirus and/or firewall caused the problem and either uninstalled it or found updated drivers.Some ran into a RAM issue with the partmgr.sys so testing/switching your RAM is an option to try.
