Reported Error (0x800ccc0e) 'outlook Cannot Synchronize
your email client. The whole error message looks something like this (with slight differences depending on the Outlook version): Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on your_account.com.' reported error (0x800CCC0E): 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null) from IMAP e-mail server for account your_account.com. Error: Unable to connect to the server. If you continue outlook error 0x800ccc0e solution to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' First of all, check your Internet connection. If you're disconnected from the Internet you'll get the same error code. The next thing to do is to check the settings for the email account in Outlook. Check whether the names of the mail servers are correct. One reason for receiving the above mentioned error code is wrong port numbers. For example, if you have enabled encryption, but you have changed the port number to 143, which is the IMAP non-encryption port number; or if you haven't enabled encryption but you have set the port number to 993, which is the encryption port number. In the case of Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2003 there is only one checkbox for enabling encryption for the incoming IMAP server. So if you have enabled encryption make sure the port number is 993, and if you haven't enabled encryption the port number should be 143. In Outlook 2007 and O
mail, it says 3 of 4 tasks have completed successfully with an error indicating "Synchronizing subscribed folders for outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders 0x800ccc05 [name] reported error 0x800CCC0E : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders'" outlook 2016 cannot synchronize subscribed folders 0x800ccc0e This means that Outlook has not be set-up to recognize that the server requires an outlook 2007 cannot synchronize subscribed folders Advanced IMAP configuration parameter put in place to properly read from the folder structure. A few days ago, Outlook began issuing the following error in regards to my IMAP account: "Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for ******.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for******. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, cannot synchronize contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' " I installed a few Microsoft updates on the day the error first appeared. I ran System Restore to the restore point prior to the updates but that had no effect on Outlook. Outlook works fine on launch but the error appears within a 1-2 minutes of startup. The cycle then repeats - cannot synchronize subscribed I wait a few moments, startup Outlook, it works for a minute or two, then the error appears. During those few minutes where it works, any messages in the Outbox are successfully sent. I've researched this quite a bit elsewhere, but all of the recommended solutions have failed thus far: I've checked my credentials and account settings, verified the proper ports are in use, tried alternative ports, restarted my routers, run pstscan.exe on all of my pst files, changed by send/receive settings, etc. I also have a MAPI account set up which will successfully receive mail while the IMAP error is present, but sending from either account is only successful for the few lucky minutes where IMAP is running.
