else. You're probably out of luck. Virtually all free CGI servers have disabled outgoing socket connections, which are required for CGIProxy to connect to any remote server. Based on some hostile emails received by users of CGIProxy, I suspect that some of those free servers disabled outgoing sockets specifically to prevent use of CGIProxy. When the first version was released in late 1998, it worked fine on all those servers. cgi proxy list Soon after, they started terminating accounts without warning and sending nasty emails to users of CGIProxy. Eventually they just disabled all outgoing socket connections. Most likely, they also did this to prevent email abuse. So if you try CGIProxy on a free server and it doesn't work, you may have to pay for an account somewhere. If you find a free server where it works, please let me know. 2. Do you know of any free servers that support CGIProxy? Unfortunately, no. There are few if any free servers left these days, and those never allow outgoing socket connections. If you find any reliably good free servers for CGIProxy, please tell me. In the meantime, you may have to pay for an account somewhere. Many servers offer accounts that support CGI for as little as $10 (USD) per month, though there may be bandwidth restrictions. Some will automatically charge you extra if you go over your bandwidth allotment, so be careful! Monitor your bandwidth usage until you get used to it. Ya, I had it installed on another acct here and it worked fine. I would think that if the script https://forums.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=52155 wasn't installed correctly, it wouldn't work at all. I shall ask then, does it fail to load the same site addresses, at around the same times? Or maybe it could be from the processing the script has to do sometimes just takes to long and the script times out. I would think the error you'd get in that case would be different though. All network settings are fine, I can wget and Lynx works fine. Is it some cgi proxy list Apache mod? I use FC5 and CGIProxy 2.1beta11 and 2.0.1 Does anyone have a idea? P.S.
