The build you are running needs the subversion command line client to be installed, it doesn't try to use any part of Tortoise.CommentCommentAdd your comment...Sign up or log in to answerWatchRelated questions Powered by Atlassian Confluence 5.7.3, Team Collaboration Software Printed by Atlassian Confluence 5.7.3, Team Collaboration Software. I'm not actually trying to use an external editor. I was assuming it would use the internal one. "External compare was failed. Cannot run program "C:/Program": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified" I guess it can't find the executable compare editor. Can it cannot run program be set to use the default eclipse compare editor? more info *************************** Just as test, if I install tortoiseSVN it finds the tortoise compare editor. org.eclipse.team.svn.core.operation.local.RunExternalCompare Operation$ExternalCompareOperationHelper.execute(RunExternal CompareOperation.java:218) Caused by: java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified Report message to a moderator Re: external compare editor failed [message #42065 is a reply to message #42032] Wed, 25 February 2009 10:00 Eclipse User Originally posted by: b_apolci.libero.it The same just happened to me. It seems that with the last update a new configuration appeared in the preferences (Team->SVN->Diff Viewer) and the default values for the File Associations tabs reflect a particular configuration (may be the one of the developer) that requires TortoiseSVN. I just unchecked the two file associtation active and the problem disappeared. Andrea stuart mellanby ha scritto: > I'm getting an error when trying to compare two versions of a file. The only difference I made was not using the desktop, but instead electing to use a folder in "My Documents". Using the ant.bat file to compile the source works fine apart from the fact that I get no revision number. The error message I get is Code: [exec] Execute failed: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "svnversion" : CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified A quick search around the forum showed that this error message has cropped up a few times but I couldn't find a solution I understood Can anyone help me solve this?
