anyone see this "Database Daemon Fatal Error" when using Entourage? Here is the rest of the error message:"The Database Daemon has encountered an unknown error. The daemon will need to quit, and Entourage may need to be force quit."I downloaded VMware Fusion2 to my Macbook a couple of weeks ago and started getting these errors when using my Macbook/Entourage https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2521652 for e-mails. Everything worked fine before that. It could be my proxy settings or something as the IT guys helped with the install and maybe they changed something. Just wondering what this was and if anyone had seen it.JJ Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.8) Posted on Sep 9, 2009 9:28 AM I have this question too Close Q: Database https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2150731?tstart=0 Daemon Fatal Error All replies Helpful answers by JasonFear, JasonFear Sep 9, 2009 9:37 AM in response to jessel_j Level 5 (4,940 points) Sep 9, 2009 9:37 AM in response to jessel_j Hi Jessel_j,Unfortunately I've not seen the error first hand but I did track down an article that talks about it. The steps recommended were identical across the 4 or 5 articles I quickly glanced at.http://blog.petermolgaard.com/2009/06/12/databasedaemon_fatalerror/What's interesting, it would appear, that running this database utility may resolve the issue for a period of time but not permanently. The Mac Daddy is online now Hi, Database Daemon fatal error coming up each time I open Customer Question Hi, Database Daemon fatal error coming up each time I open Entourage then force quits the program. This alert first came up when I was connecting my new iPhone 4 and installing all my previous data from iPHone 3. Then when I went to Entourage got the above message and action and it is now happening all the time. it does come up sometimes when I have Address Book open but I can simply turn off. AMENDMENT TO THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH: Database Daemon Error comes up each time I am synching my iPhone and I can turn it off with no obvious effects. I have been into utilities and rebuilt database etc (I did everything available to me in there). This made no difference so I uninstalled Microsoft Office and removed any files left in the computer that I could find relating to Microsoft. Reinstalled Office and all seemed fine, I then turned my computer off but when I restarted this morning same problem happening. Have search internet for solutions and found Stellar Phoenix Entourage Repair but reviews seem average. ALSO for a long time now I have been unable to access my Calendar via the icon at the top left - I have to use the folder located at the bottom left corner under all the folders on the computer. And again reinstalling and all the things I did above make no difference. What would you suggest?/ Kind regards, Catherine Submitted: 5 years ago.
