You will need to create a variable of type TSQLTimeStamp and use the DateTimeToSQLTimeStamp function if you want to convert a TDateTime value to a TSQLTimeStamp. You will need http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/30078 to add: SqlTimSt to your uses clause. Here is a code snippet that demonstrates using SQLTimeStamp: procedure TForm1.UseTimeStamp(myDate: TDateTime); var mySTS: TSQLTimeStamp; begin mySTS := DateTimeToSQLTimeStamp(myDate); with SQLQuery1 do begin Params.CreateParam(ftTimeStamp, 'DATE', ptInput); ParamByName('DATE').AsSQLTimeStamp := mySTS; SQL.Text := 'INSERT INTO PARAMTABLE ' + '(DATEFIELD) ' + 'VALUES (:DATE)'; ExecSQL(false); end; end; Latest Comments View AllAdd NewRSSATOM Move mouse over comment to see the full text Reply Posted by Craven Weasel on Dec 10 2004dbExpress Error: Invalid Field Type when using a ftDateTime param type with OracleThe error message disapears, but the query returns nothing Rating Average rating: 2.89 Votes: 2 0 5 1 1 Rating: 1 2 3 4 5 1=Poor, 5=Excellent Download Trial Buy Now Download Delphi10 now! to database failed from DBdesigner 4. dbExpress Error: Invalid Username/Password Username/Password spelled correctly. The problem is because DBDesigner4 was designed for MySQL 3.x.x. For MySQL 4 and higher we have to do the old password trick. https://openstech.wordpress.com/2011/12/05/connection-to-database-failed-from-dbdesigner-4/ This is the solution which is works fine for me. In your terminal, connect to your database: mysql -u root -p SET PASSWORD FOR ‘root'@'localhost' = OLD_PASSWORD(‘r00tp45sw0rd'); UPDATE mysql.user SET Password = OLD_PASSWORD(‘r00tp45sw0rd') WHERE Host = ‘localhost' AND User = ‘root'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES; Then you should have no problem connecting to your MySQL servers. You may change the username (root), password (r00tp45sw0rd) & host (localhost) with dbexpress error your own. Share this:RedditLike this:Like Loading...
