I am trying to retrieve my files on a failed hard drive. When I click on my "500 GB Hard Disk: 485 GB Filesystem" Icon I get an "unable to mount location" error with the following: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Try a LiveCD from the 12.04 distribution. Run GParted from the LiveCD (DON'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT, JUST OPEN IT) and post a screenshot of what it shows (the LiveCD should have a screenshot utility, most often "Take Screenshot" in the Applications>Accessories menu, and then save that screenshot to a USB stick or other removable media.) (To post a screenshot here, you need to upload the screenshot to a hosting service like photobucket, tiny pic, image magic, etc. and then you can use the "Image" button here in the posting window to insert the image in the post.) It will help troubleshoooting efforts if you give some more basic info, like w
