The first thing I loaded was MSN (since I'm paying for the ISP). After establishing a way to get onto the web, I went to windows updates. After searching my computer, many critical updates were found that needed to be installed. I expected that. The first critical update installed ok. The computer rebooted and I signed back on to MSN to get the next windows update. The second critical update installed, but this screen came up: Ddhelp has caused an error in GDI.exe Ddhelp will close now If this continues, try restarting your computer I hoped that having a "clean slate" would let me have a fresh start on my weblife, but alas, my first error has discouraged me. System resources are areas of memory that are used by the input manager (USER.EXE) and the graphic display interface manager (GDI.EXE) for keeping track of all of the windows that are open in a session and for drawing objects on the screen. Or you may not have enough Memory/RAM. How much memory do you have? If you are using Win98/98SE, then do this tweak: Right-click "My Computer" -> select Properties -> Performance -> Advanced Settings -> File System button -> Settings -> Typical role of this computer - Choose Network Server. Jase's description matches what they said. Apparently dd
